Welcome to the Star Trek: M.A.S.H.

The Long Jump program has sent many ships to a new star cluster near a completely different galaxy.

With the discovery of an old civilisation related to several Federation worlds and the colonies that have sprung up around Canopus Station, the Federation has seen a need for a revival of the old hospital ships that came into wide use during the Dominion War.

The first of this revival- nicknamed MASH after the 20th century Earth equivalent- is the USS Sherman Potter. With mostly medical missions, the Potter’s support crew will require basic EMT training as they may be called upon to help. These missions will include Carcosian, Federation, and independent settlements as well as some of the local peoples.

Everyone, please join me in welcoming two new players to our ranks. Lori, whom I’ve known for a long time, will be playing Lieutenant Kathryn Dallas, and Bella, who will be playing Lieutenant Adina Maddox. Feel free to introduce yourselves! I’ll get them added to the current JPs as soon as I decide where they would fit best. Welcome, Lieutenants! We hope you enjoy the madness!

Mission: Mission 2.5: Intermission
Posted on Mon Oct 4th, 2021 @ 1:46am by Captain Pierce Hunnicutt MCh & Lieutenant Theodore Hunnicutt MD

It had been years since Pierce had had the opportunity to cook. He had tried to make it happen today, but this ship was just too short on living space to have anything even remotely resembling a kitchen on it. So, he'd done the next best thing.

He'd programmed the…

Mission: Mission 2.5: Intermission
Posted on Mon Oct 4th, 2021 @ 1:45am by Lieutenant Bronwyn P'ril & Lieutenant Theodore Hunnicutt MD

During her time at the academy, P'ril had gotten the somewhat insane idea to qualify as an AEMT as well as majoring in Engineering. She had figured it would come in handy if an engineer was injured. The quicker they got medical care, the better, after all. And she had…

Mission: Mission 2.5: Intermission
Posted on Tue Sep 28th, 2021 @ 4:30am by Ensign Sekhem Peth & Lieutenant Commander Jayla Kij MCh

Up until about fifteen minutes ago, Jayla's plans for the evening were to get into her snuggliest pajamas and curl up with a good book. Alex was on the late shift tonight, so it was just her, Lucas, and Silver. And since the spidermunk and horned fox were the early…

Mission: Mission 2.5: Intermission
Posted on Tue Sep 28th, 2021 @ 4:28am by Captain Pierce Hunnicutt MCh & Master Warrant Officer Cipher & Ensign Sekhem Peth

The outrage.

The indignity.

The perfidiousness.

Cipher was so livid that he could barely contain himself, which of course meant that it barely showed. His usual flat mouth was curled into a frown beneath eyes that blazed with the wrath that only an aggrieved individual could summon.

He didn't have…

Mission: Mission 2: No Good Deed
Posted on Thu Jul 1st, 2021 @ 3:45am by Captain Pierce Hunnicutt MCh & Lieutenant Bronwyn P'ril & Master Warrant Officer Cipher & Lieutenant Jack Devlin

The engineers and security team had returned to the Sherman Potter only moments ago. Armed with the now reversed translator, some of them made their way to Sick Bay while others went to assist with the two now subdued creatures in Waste Reclamation.

The scene in Sick Bay was on…

After helping the Durrighash repair their ship and attend to their dead, they insisted on what they called a Blood Oath Ceremony. This turned out to simply be swearing on our own blood to always assist one another and did not involve actually cutting ourselves, which was a fear of…

It has been a lot of long days but we are finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. The hospital has been repaired and supplies are now being stocked. Patients are being moved out of temporary domes and into rooms and surgeons are now working in surgical…

Posted on Fri Oct 30th, 2020 @ 3:43am by Lieutenant Damien Gardener

This is what modern 24th-century medicine has brought me to; sorting out the cold storage locker in the back of Sickbay. Just because this is a mostly new ship, sort of Mom & Pop fixer-upper except Mom was Starfleet Command and Pop was the terrifying need for new hulls in…

"Computer, end Chief Counsellor's Log."

Peregrine leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. She reviewed quickly all that she had put into her logs. It was good. She'd covered the relevant pieces without being subjective. Those who came to see her deserved that.

She opened her eyes, pushed…
